Clinical Vision Fact Sheet Redesign

Client: Optum / UnitedHealth Group
Designer: Val Sablin, Principal Designer – SAVA Creative
This project involved a complete redesign of Optum’s Clinical Vision fact sheet, modernizing an outdated reference PDF and reworking both the visual structure and information architecture to align with current branding standards. Contracted as Principal Designer, I refreshed the layout, updated iconography, improved readability, and ensured the content presented the organization’s clinical priorities clearly and accurately.

Working closely with Optum and UnitedHealth Group stakeholders, the redesign included several iterative rounds of refinement—shifting key elements such as the Quadruple AIM positioning, revising iconography for the PEC and CLC columns, adjusting footnotes tied to updated data, and integrating leadership feedback around voice, tone, and emphasis. The process included multiple client calls and virtual reviews, collaboration with internal subject-matter teams, and balancing evolving data needs with strong visual communication.

The result is a clean, fully rebranded, double-sided portrait fact sheet that elevates Optum’s physician-led vision, distills complex clinical frameworks into accessible content, and aligns seamlessly with the organization’s broader rebranded collateral.
